Job summary

Ymca Of Central Maryland, Inc. is seeking a Head Start Site Director to lead clustered Y Head Start centers and sites in public schools. You will supervise Head Start Teachers, support staff, and drivers, and ensure day-to-day operations meet licensing requirements and Head Start Program Performance Standards.

The role emphasizes program planning, family engagement, service coordination, record keeping, and ongoing supervision, with strong leadership across multi-site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Studies, Child Development, Human Development, Human Services, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in an early learning center is preferred.
• Knowledge of OCC regulations and HSPPS preferred.
• Management of multi-center locations.
• ECERS and ITERS preferred.
• Knowledge of Computer Applications.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of clustered Head Start centers.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position serves as a Head Start Site Director for clustered Y Head Start centers, as well as Y Head Start sites located in Public Schools. The Head Start Site Director supervises Head Start Teachers, Assistant Head Start Teachers, Resource Aides, Food Service Personnel, Drivers, and Substitute teachers. Head Start Site Directors are primarily responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations, including OCC/Child Care Licensing compliance and Head Start Program Performance Standards. The Head Start Site Director collaborates with other Y team members to ensure high-quality, integrated comprehensive services are implemented consistently. This position is chiefly responsible for the following core functions and performs other tasks as needed:

Education
