Job summary

The Maryland Rural Development Corporation is seeking a Head Start Site Supervisor to lead the designated Head Start Preschool site. You will oversee daily operations, ensure a safe, inclusive educational environment, and supervise staff while coordinating with health, nutrition, and family engagement teams to meet program goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or administrative experience in ECE.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the HS site to ensure a safe, educational environment.
• Ensure compliance with HSPPS, licensing requirements, and regulations.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate site teachers; coordinate with health/nutrition/family engagement staff.
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to staff for high-quality care and education.
• Maintain accurate records for children, staff, and site operations.
• Monitor and report site data, participate in audits and self-assessments.
• Oversee health, safety, and nutrition policies; enforce building safety procedures.
