Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a Director of Business Development for Veterinary to own the largest multi-location deals from first meeting to signed contracts. This is an individual contributor role focused on strategic veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices, with no direct reports.

You will close high-value opportunities with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders, manage end-to-end cycles of 3–12 months, and expand where deals cover multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Track record of closing $1M+ annually on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Experience selling to veterinary groups or multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative sales cycles with multiple decision makers.
• Prefers closing over people management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end deal cycle from discovery to close over 3–12 months.
• Negotiate with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders.
• Expand deals to cover more locations and services after signing.
• Collaborate with strategists and leadership on key deals.
