Job summary

VSE Aviation, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Supplier Quality to lead quality across the supply chain and ensure compliance with the QMS and regulatory standards.

You will drive supplier performance, coordinate corrective actions, and champion customer expectations while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves overseeing MRB activities, audits, and complex process transfers, with a focus on defect prevention, supplier development, and long-term partnerships to sustain

Responsibilities

• Oversee supplier performance evaluations and participate in vendor approval/selection decisions.
• Lead MRB activities and ensure necessary product verification steps are followed.
• Manage supplier corrective actions to ensure quality and prevent defects.
• Provide guidance to Field Quality Engineers on supplier quality clinics and support needs.
• Lead internal and third-party audits to ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met.
• Guide work transfers and special processes for unique products within the VSE supply chain.
• Establish and maintain QMS processes, including document/data control.
• Collaborate with process owners to optimize interfaces and conduct in-person reviews.
• Monitor quality metrics and trends to drive improvements in cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and execute comprehensive quality plans with risk assessments and preventive actions.
• Conduct supplier surveys, manage customer complaints and returns, and drive timely resolutions.
• Be the Voice of the Customer to align quality objectives across departments.
