Job summary

VSE Aviation, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Miami, FL to develop and execute quality strategies across supplier accounts. You will implement quality control systems, inspect materials and processes, and drive corrective actions with limited supervision.

The role requires 5+ years in supplier quality, experience with ISO 9001/AS9100, and strong analytical skills. Collaboration with purchasing, operations, and customer service is essential to ensure quality and safety standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or 3 years of related work experience in lieu of degree.
• 5 years of relevant/technical work experience.
• 2+ years of supplier quality experience with working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 series standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scheduling applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication with suppliers and customers.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with data analysis and SPC.
• Working knowledge of root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, FMEA).
• Working knowledge of aviation regulations and industry standards.
• Ability to manage projects of moderate complexity in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Apply and maintain quality standards across supplier base.
• Implement and maintain quality control systems and documentation.
• Track and report supplier performance metrics (quality, on-time delivery).
• Collaborate with purchasing, operations, inspection, and customer service teams on quality controls.
• Conduct supplier audits, qualification, and performance reviews.
• Investigate product or process issues using root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to closure.
