Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. seeks a Chief Engineer for Strategic Systems to lead end-to-end solid rocket propulsion programs. You will manage large multidisciplinary teams, oversee complex systems engineering, and align execution with budgets and schedules.

The role reports to the Director of Engineering within the Strategic Systems department and is based in Reno, NV or Folsom, CA or Huntsville, AL or Long Beach, CA or remote. Candidates must hold a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline with 15 years of engineering experience and 5+ years of technical leadership in solid rocket motors (SRMs).
• Direct the end-to-end technical lifecycle of the program by leading cross-functional teams through design reviews and qualification milestones.
• Lead the engineering team to meet all program milestones by focusing on the critical path and optimal resource management.
• Establish and maintain lean technical scope baselines while monitoring cost performance indices and budget changes.
• Serve as primary technical spokesperson, managing internal and external stakeholder relationships and providing data-driven alternatives.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (US Citizenship).

• Direct end-to-end lifecycle of SRM programs with cross-functional teams through design reviews and milestones.
• Manage resources to meet program milestones and optimize schedule performance.
• Present programmatic material to customers and stakeholders, and explore technical alternatives.
• Maintain lean scope baselines and monitor budget variances to protect reserves.
