Job summary

Voyager Technologies seeks a Chief Engineer for Strategic Systems in the United States to lead end-to-end solid rocket propulsion programs. Based in Reno, NV or other eligible U.S. sites, you will manage large, multidisciplinary teams through design reviews, qualification milestones, and budget-conscious execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline with 15 years of engineering experience and 5+ years of technical leadership in solid rocket motors (SRMs).
  • Able to direct the end-to-end technical lifecycle of the program by leading cross-functional teams through rigorous design reviews and qualification milestones, ensuring producibility, data requirements, and schedule adherence.
  • Able to lead engineering to meet program milestones by focusing on critical path, deconflicting resources, and driving schedule performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage lean technical scope baselines by controlling budgets, CPI, and exploring alternative solutions.
  • Served as primary technical spokesperson for the program, managing stakeholder relationships and presenting data-driven alternatives for decision making.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship).

Responsibilities

  • Direct end-to-end lifecycle of solid rocket propulsion programs with large multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead cross-functional design reviews and qualification milestones to ensure producibility and schedule adherence.
  • Balance technical execution with budget and schedule constraints while maintaining data integrity and compliance.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate program status with data-driven technical options.
  • Guard budget reserves and explore alternative technical solutions to minimize variances.
