Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineering leader to drive the Center of Excellence and forward deployed engagements across critical banking platforms. You will define strategy, governance, and roadmaps, aligning reliability with business priorities and risk management.

Lead complex programs, manage senior leaders, and elevate engineering standards to improve availability, performance, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Combined 11+ years of higher education and/or work experience, including 4+ years in engineering/architecture and 5 years in leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SRE Center of Excellence and forwarding deployed SRE program initiatives.
• Define enterprise SRE standards, governance, and maturity models across engineering teams.
• Oversee Forward Deployed SRE engagements and ensure measurable reliability improvements.
• Establish intake, prioritization, and exit criteria for SRE services and programs.
• Provide executive visibility into reliability outcomes, risk, and investment decisions.
