M&T Bank is seeking a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager to lead a team focused on reliability, scalability, and performance of critical platforms in a hybrid Buffalo, NY environment.

You will own SRE strategies, define SLIs/SLOs, drive incident response, and champion IaC, CI/CD, and AI-assisted automation while collaborating with engineering, architecture, and product teams to deliver resilient services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technology experience in production systems or reliability engineering.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering, operations, or SRE teams.
• Experience leading major incident response, RCA, and service restoration.
• Strong knowledge of SRE principles: SLIs/SLOs, observability, automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, and modern architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute SRE strategies to improve reliability and performance.
• Establish SLIs, SLOs, and health metrics for services.
• Lead incident response and RCA processes with executive communication.
• Drive automation and IaC, CI/CD, and self-service ops.
