Job summary

F5 seeks a Senior Manager of Solutions Engineering to lead the SE team within the Tech vertical in Nashville. You will establish objectives, drive performance, and partner with HR to ensure scalable staffing while guiding the SE organization to align with F5 goals.

Ideal candidates will have a BS/BA, extensive SE management experience, and deep networking knowledge. You will mentor engineers, shape strategy, and ensure customer-focused outcomes through product requirements and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required or relevant work experience.
• Extensive experience managing technical SEs.
• Strong networking and applications delivery knowledge.
• Excellent communication across all levels.
• Self-motivated with the ability to persuade and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Business Code of Ethics and report violations.
• Manage SE team including evaluations, PTO, assignments, training, disciplinary actions, and interviewing.
• Set FY objectives, strategy and priorities for Engineers in the SE team.
• Plan headcounts quarterly and yearly to scale the SE org.
• Collaborate with HR on candidate recruitments.
• Foster effective communication and teamwork.
• Develop and organize SE org to meet goals.
• Maintain SE partner plan with PS, support, Marketing, PM.
• Strategic planning to scale SE to meet objectives.
• Oversee retention, recognition, compensation and career planning.
• Develop skill assessment and job planning.
• Ensure customer-focused SE by driving requirements and roadmap.
• Present F5 strategy and solutions to customers.
