Job summary

F5 is seeking an experienced leader to manage the Solutions Engineering team within the F5 Tech vertical. You will drive objectives, strategies, and staff planning to ensure the SE organization meets and exceeds company goals.

This role emphasizes scalable structures, customer focus, and collaboration with product, marketing, and PM teams to drive successful pre- and post-sales support in a dynamic technology environment.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree or relevant work experience.
• Several years of experience managing technical SEs in a management role.
• Thorough understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technologies.
• Self-motivated with the ability to persuade direct reports and others outside the organization.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the company’s code of ethics and report violations.
• Manage SE team performance evaluations, PTO approvals, delegating work, and training.
• Define objectives, strategy, and priorities for Engineers in the SE team.
• Plan headcounts quarterly and yearly to scale the SE organization.
• Oversee candidate recruitment in collaboration with HR.
• Foster organizational communication and teamwork.
• Develop and organize SE structure to meet goals, including development plans.
• Maintain SE partner plan (PS, support, Marketing, PM).
• Scale the SE organization to meet objectives and career planning.
• Ensure customer focus and drive Product Requirements and Business Units alignment.
• Analyze market trends and communicate with PM/PD, assess competition.
• Provide product feasibility analysis in support of sales efforts.
