Job summary

F5 is seeking a seasoned leader to manage the Solutions Engineering team within the Tech vertical, focusing on technical sales. You will set objectives, oversee hiring, and ensure the SE org scales to meet ambitious goals across products and customers.

Responsibilities include developing strategy, guiding engineers, and aligning customer needs with F5 solutions while maintaining a high standard of ethics and collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required or relevant work experience.
• Experience managing technical SEs in a management role.
• Thorough understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technologies.
• Self-motivated with the ability to persuade peers and others outside the org.
• Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the Business Code of Ethics and report policy violations.
• Manage SE team: performance evaluations, PTO, delegation, training, and hiring.
• Define core FY objectives, strategy, and priorities for Engineers in the SE Team.
• Plan headcounts quarterly/yearly to scale the SE org to meet goals.
• Recruitment collaborations with HR.
• Foster communication and teamwork across the department and organization.
• Develop SE organization to meet/exceed goals and professional development.
• Maintain SE partner plan with PS, support, Marketing, PM, etc.
• Align SE with customer requirements and market trends.
• Present F5 strategy, messaging, and roadmap to customers.
