Job summary

D2B Groups LLC in Midland, TX, seeks a General Manager of Service to lead its divisional service business. This is a true operating seat; you will own the service P&L, manage shop and field teams, and nurture customer relationships that keep critical operations running.

The role focuses on scaling the service organization, building technician capacity, improving utilization and warranty recovery, and turning a busy department into a predictable, profitable operation with strong safety and growth

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in equipment or industrial service, with at least three to five leading teams (service manager, shop manager, operations manager, or GM).
• Demonstrated P&L or budget accountability for a service department or branch, with real numbers you can speak to.
• Track record of hiring, developing and retaining technicians; this is the single hardest part of the job.
• Strong command of service operations metrics and the systems behind them (dealer business systems, service mgmt platforms, dispatch tools).
• Technical credibility with a shop floor; technicians must respect your judgment.
• Comfort in front of customers during failures, escalations or contract negotiations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent trade/technical/leadership experience; both paths welcome.

Responsibilities

• P&L ownership for the service division, budget development and hit targets.
• Recruiting, developing, and retaining technicians and front-line supervisors.
• Optimize technician utilization, billable efficiency, WIP aging and warranty recovery.
• Oversee shop and field service scheduling, maintenance contracts, startups, and 24/7 emergency coverage.
• Own customer relationships with major accounts, escalations and uptime commitments.
• Uphold a safety-first culture across shop floors and field operations.
• Drive growth and strategy with capacity planning, tooling investments, and partnerships with sales.
