Job summary

D2B Groups is seeking a General Manager of Service in Midland, Texas. The role leads the divisional service business, owning the P&L, shop and field teams, and customer relationships to keep critical operations running.

The division grows with data center construction, healthcare, municipal infrastructure, and energy demand. You will build technician capacity, enforce discipline, and turn the department into a predictable profit engine.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in equipment or industrial service with leadership experience.
• Demonstrated P&L or budget accountability for a service department or branch.
• Track record of hiring, developing, and keeping technicians.
• Strong command of service operations metrics and the systems behind them.
• Technical credibility with a shop floor and comfort in front of customers.

Responsibilities

• Own service P&L, budget, and profitability.
• Lead technicians and front-line supervisors; build bench and career paths.
• Oversee shop and field service scheduling, maintenance contracts, startups, and 24/7 response.
• Own customer relationships including escalations and uptime commitments.
• Drive safety culture across shop floors, sites, and field operations.
• Partner with sales and parts leadership to grow the aftermarket business.
