Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Manager of Sales Engineering to lead a team focused on enterprise merchant integrations. You’ll participate in deals, guide integration decisions, and mentor engineers across technical and business stakeholders.

You will deepen product mastery, run technical sales calls, and coach the team to build, test, and troubleshoot APIs in sandbox environments. A hands-on leader who translates merchant needs into actionable feedback is essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in business or technology required.
• 4–6+ years in Sales/solutions engineering; 3–4 years in people management.
• Experience building, testing, and troubleshooting API-based integrations; programming knowledge.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Sales Engineers.
• Participate in deals with live technical discovery and integration discussions.
• Partner with merchant leaders when leadership is needed.
• Develop deep knowledge of Affirm’s products, APIs, and integrations.
• Build, test, and troubleshoot integrations in sandbox environments.
• Use AI tools in technical work and coach the team on prototypes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Revenue to design merchant solutions.
• Translate merchant requirements into actionable product feedback.
• Create a respectful environment with feedback and growth opportunities.
