Job summary

Mirai Bio, a Flagship-founded biotechnology company, seeks an experienced Senior Director to lead LNP formulation, process development, and small-scale production supporting internal and partner programs.

The role requires deep LNP expertise, strategic leadership, and strong client-facing skills to drive development and manufacturing readiness across multiple payloads and applications.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant industry experience in LNP formulation and development.
• Proven ability to lead and develop scientific teams across programs.
• Strong written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead LNP formulation, process development, and small-scale production for multiple programs.
• Define strategy and best practices for LNP formulation and production across payloads.
• Provide senior technical leadership, plan experiments, review data, mitigate risk, and make recommendations.
• Interface with clients and partners; support proposals, scopes of work, and business development.
• Oversee non-GMP production of LNP formulations for in vitro, in vivo, and preclinical studies.
• Drive troubleshooting, optimization, tech transfer, and continuous improvement of LNP production for various payloads.
• Establish workflows and documentation to improve quality, reproducibility, efficiency, and scalability.
• Lead and develop the LNP team and manage resources and growth.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align development with program objectives.
