Job summary

Washington State Employees Credit Union is seeking a Director of Talent Development to lead the learning and development strategy across the credit union. You will design and deliver programs that develop leaders, strengthen skills, and foster a culture of continuous learning and high performance.

You’ll oversee organizational learning, leadership development, technical training, coaching, change management, and compliance education while leading a team of learning professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in training/development, HR, OD, organizational psychology, business, or related field.
• Seven years’ experience designing, developing, and scaling adult training/leadership development programs with measuring effectiveness.
• Five years of experience using adult learning theory, instructional design, and evaluations.
• Two years minimum of demonstrated administrative experience with learning management systems.
• Experience consulting or partnering with leaders to implement change.
• Experience delivering training/coaching to executive-level audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership oversight for the Learning and Development Manager and indirect oversight for the L&D team.
• Develop a learning strategy aligned to business goals and measure program effectiveness.
• Oversee governance for training systems, roles, responsibilities, and outcomes.
• Analyze data to identify gaps and improve leadership coaching effectiveness.
• Manage training investments, vendors, and training team budget.
• Partner with executives to drive change through learning and development initiatives.
