Job summary

Firstmark Credit Union is seeking a Senior Manager of Learning & Talent Development to lead the organization’s learning function and build capability across leadership, technical, and operational domains.

You will partner with executives to identify gaps, design solutions, and advance a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional member service. This role oversees the training team, prioritizes the learning roadmap, and drives measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in HR, business, organizational development, education, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in learning and development or related field.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing and developing employees.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, coaching, and communication skills.
• Experience leading training teams and driving organizational learning initiatives.
• Experience supporting technical, operational, and leadership training programs.
• Proven ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a learning and talent development strategy aligned with organizational goals and priorities.
• Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and implement learning solutions that improve performance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on learning, leadership development, workforce capability, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Build strong partnerships across the organization to ensure learning initiatives align with business needs.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Learning & Development team.
• Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability measures for training.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, service excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
• Develop and manage the annual learning and development roadmap and training calendar.
• Provide strategic oversight for all technical, operational, systems, product, compliance, and member-facing training programs.
• Ensure effective training programs for frontline and operational roles.
• Partner with department leaders to develop training that supports operational excellence and risk management.
• Lead training for new system implementations and process changes.
• Establish role-based learning paths and proficiency standards.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and readiness through metrics and feedback.
