Job summary
Valon is building the AI-native operating system for regulated finance, with headquarters in New York City and strong remote support. We seek a Head of Infrastructure to unify Cloud and Developer Infrastructure, drive scalable, secure platforms, and partner with product, security, data, and operations to deliver a clear roadmap and measurable outcomes.
You will lead managers and senior leaders, balancing production reliability with rapid developer delivery, while guiding architectural decisions
Qualifications
- 10+ years software engineering, incl. 4+ years leading multiple teams or large infra org.
- Experience owning broad infra portfolio incl cloud, storage, databases, SRE.
- Strong depth in distributed systems and scalable production ops.
- Experience setting strategy across production infra and developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Define multi-year infra strategy across Cloud and Developer Infra.
- Lead and grow a high-performing org incl. managers, senior ICs.
- Own portfolio roadmap and investment across compute, storage, data platforms, CI/CD & observability.
- Set reliability, security, ownership, incident management standards.
- Align infra priorities with product strategy and business goals.
- Build planning and governance to make progress visible.
