Job summary

Valon, a leading AI platform for mortgage servicing, is seeking a Head of Infrastructure to unify Cloud Infrastructure and Developer Infrastructure. This senior leadership role oversees systems that run ValonOS and the platform used by engineers to build and operate it.

Based in NYC with remote work options, the role shapes strategy across compute, storage, data platforms, tooling, CI/CD, and observability.

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience.
4+ years leading multiple teams or an infrastructure org.
Experience owning a broad infrastructure portfolio (cloud platforms, compute, storage, databases, SRE).
Strategy setting across production infrastructure and developer experience.

Responsibilities

Define a multi-year infrastructure strategy for Cloud and Developer Infrastructure.
Lead and grow engineering managers, senior tech leaders, and ICs.
Own the portfolio roadmap and investments across compute, storage, data platforms, and observability.
Set company-wide standards for reliability, security, and operational excellence.
Partner with executives to align infrastructure with product strategy and business goals.
Build planning, review, and operating mechanisms to make progress visible.
