Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Bethlehem, GA seeks an experienced Complex Safety & Health Manager to establish, promote, and oversee health and safety programs for the poultry processing complex, including plant, feed mill, and hatchery.

You will guide policy interpretation for OSHA and other agencies, lead the site’s safety plan and training, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement in environmental, health, and safety performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years’ relevant safety management/compliance experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience managing direct reports.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret laws and regulations and apply them to the site.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee health and employee safety programs across complex facilities.
• Develop and maintain safety procedures, training, and accident prevention plans.
• Lead annual Safety and Health Plan and budget processes.
• Audit regulatory compliance and coordinate corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Mentor and coach staff; promote career development.
• Collaborate with site leadership on objectives for safety and workers' comp.
• Ensure permits and reporting to regulatory agencies are timely.
