Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in North Carolina is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee production line personnel and ensure compliance with HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs and USDA/OSHA standards while achieving production goals.

You will mentor staff, drive process improvements, and coordinate with Quality Assurance to maintain a safe, efficient operation in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Three years experience in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to enforce policies and lead teams.
• Strong knowledge of timekeeping, safety and HACCP practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department and adjust procedures to meet schedules and budgets.
• Deploy personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure accurate daily reporting of attendance, yields and production data.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce deficiencies.
• Lead process improvements and monitor improvement metrics.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain USDA-compliant safety standards.
• Mentor and train employees; administer performance actions as needed.
• Adhere to safety programs and ensure PPE use as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals.
• Learn and follow any applicable Union contract provisions.
