Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee production line personnel, ensure adherence to HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, USDA and OSHA requirements, and drive productivity. You will deploy staff, monitor performance, and coordinate with QA to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient operation.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication in English, and the ability to work in a fast-paced poultry environment with weekend/shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in a manufacturing setting; poultry experience preferred.
• Three years leadership experience including timekeeping, policy adherence, and conflict resolution; three years preferred.
• Knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regs, OSHA, GMP, HACCP.
• Ability to communicate in English; multilingual helpful.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer and math skills.
• Self-starter with urgency; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production line/department personnel to meet production schedules and budgets.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reports are completed accurately (attendance, yields, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction.
• Lead/plans for process improvements and monitor metrics.
• Partner with QA to ensure a food-safe, USDA-compliant environment.
• Mentor and train employees; provide constructive feedback.
• Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
• Promote safety policies and PPE usage; maintain zero-accident culture.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals.
• Learn and adhere to any current Union contract if applicable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
