Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a skilled maintenance supervisor responsible for the physical plant across the property portfolio. You will monitor, identify, and address issues in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring, and general repairs, while following company procedures and preventive maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff, planning work, ensuring safety, coordinating with service contractors, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required; ongoing learning in maintenance_repair fields.
• HVAC or related trade licenses/certifications may be required.
• Strong knowledge of building trades, repairs, and replacement maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment across the buildings.
• Supervises maintenance staff and directs work orders.
• Plans, coaches, and disciplines employees; evaluates repair needs and timelines.
• Monitors contractors and manages preventive/reactive maintenance schedules.
• On-call availability for emergencies and projects as assigned.
