Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor responsible for the physical plant and ongoing general maintenance across buildings. You will manage trades, supervise staff, plan repairs, and ensure preventive maintenance aligns with company guidelines.

The role requires 3–5 years in building trades, HVAC expertise, supervisory experience, and strong communication skills. A Florida driver’s license and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• HVAC and related trade licenses/certifications may be required.
• Minimum 3–5 years general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance.
• Strong maintenance and repair skills across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and other tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment throughout the building(s).
• Directs maintenance staff through work orders and supervises daily tasks.
• Plans, monitors and evaluates job results; coaching and disciplining employees as needed.
• Assesses repair needs and estimates time to complete tasks.
• Monitors service and building repair contractors; ensures quality work.
• Maintains inventories and procures maintenance supplies.
