Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a senior technology leader to own the software engineering strategy powering CVS Health's analytics ecosystem. You will scale an engineering organization, lead critical reviews, and drive latency and reliability across enterprise data platforms.

You will partner with Data Science, Product, Analytics, and Architecture to translate business priorities into scalable cloud solutions, balancing near-term delivery with long-term modernization.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Software Engineering or related technology disciplines.
• 7+ years leading large engineering organizations through multiple layers of leadership.
• Hands-on software engineering background with end-to-end data or software product delivery.
• Growth path from engineer to architect to engineering leader managing large, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, performance, and maintainability.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern engineering practices.
• Excellent communication to explain tech rationale to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a large engineering organization, building strong managers and senior ICs.
• Engage in architecture and code reviews for critical systems to reduce latency and complexity.
• Partner with Data Science, Product, Analytics, and Architecture to translate priorities into scalable cloud data solutions.
• Define and execute the engineering roadmap for enterprise analytics platforms.
• Drive reliability, observability, and cost efficiency across production data platforms.
• Establish engineering standards that improve speed, quality, and maintainability across teams.
• Communicate technical strategy and trade-offs to engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• Champion a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
