Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead and mentor a team of software engineers, driving architecture direction and measurable outcomes aligned with business goals.

You will oversee the full SDLC, collaborate with Product, Data, Infrastructure, and stakeholders, and champion modern engineering practices, cloud adoption, and technical excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years leading projects
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka and cloud deployments
• 3+ years leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
• 3+ years defining technology strategy including AI/ML and cloud services
• Strong expertise in cloud, distributed systems, APIs and microservices

Responsibilities

• Own risk mitigation and production stability by proactively identifying system vulnerabilities and driving timely resolution
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) ensuring secure coding and scalable architecture
• Collaborate with Product, Data, Infrastructure and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead innovation through proofs-of-concept
• Build and develop high-performing engineering teams and foster a culture of technical excellence
