Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a senior technology leader to own the software engineering strategy that powers our analytics ecosystem. You’ll rise from hands-on engineer to architect and engineering executive capable of scaling judgment across a large, regulated organization.

You’ll lead an multi-disciplinary team building platforms behind pricing transparency, provider search, and AI-powered capabilities, focusing on latency, reliability, and maintainability while collaborating with Data Science,

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in Software Engineering or related technology disciplines.
• 7+ years of experience leading large engineering organizations through multiple layers of leadership.
• Hands-on software engineering background with end-to-end data or software product delivery.
• Growth path from engineer to architect to engineering leadership.
• Strong fundamentals: system design, performance optimization, maintainable solutions.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern engineering practices.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical rationale to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and mentor a large engineering organization, building strong managers and senior ICs while raising the bar on engineering craft.
• Engage in architecture reviews and code reviews for critical systems, reducing latency and complexity.
• Partner with Data Science, Product, Analytics, and Architecture teams to translate priorities into scalable data solutions.
• Define and execute the engineering roadmap for enterprise analytics platforms, balancing near-term delivery with modernization.
• Drive reliability, observability, and cost efficiency across production data platforms.
• Establish engineering best practices and standards across teams.
• Communicate technical strategy and trade-offs clearly to engineering and senior stakeholders.
• Champion a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
