Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a senior technology leader to own the software engineering strategy behind the analytics ecosystem. You will scale a hands-on engineering background into architecture leadership and drive engineering excellence across a large multi-disciplinary team.

You will lead initiatives for pricing transparency, provider search, and AI/ML-powered analytics, ensuring latency, scalability, and cost efficiency while collaborating with Data Science, Product, and Architecture teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in Software Engineering or related technology disciplines.
• 7+ years of experience leading large engineering organizations through multiple layers of leadership.
• Hands-on software engineering background with architecting and delivering end-to-end data or software products
• Growth path from engineer to architect to engineering leadership with large, multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong fundamentals in system design, performance optimization, and maintainable solutions
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern engineering practices
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical rationale to varied audiences

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and mentor a large engineering organization with managers and senior ICs.
• Engage in architecture reviews and code reviews for critical systems to reduce latency and complexity.
• Partner with Data Science, Product, Analytics, and Architecture to translate priorities into scalable, cloud-based data solutions
• Define and execute the engineering roadmap for enterprise analytics platforms, balancing near-term delivery with modernization
• Drive reliability, observability, and cost efficiency across production data platforms
• Establish engineering standards that improve speed, quality, and maintainability
• Communicate technical strategy and trade-offs to engineering teams and senior stakeholders
• Champion a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
