Job summary
CVS Health Digital is seeking a Senior Manager – Software Development Engineering to lead and mentor a team of engineers, driving technical strategy and delivering measurable business outcomes in a fast-paced, healthcare-focused environment.
You will own SDLC, define architecture, and collaborate with Product, Data, and Infrastructure to translate requirements into scalable solutions while improving production stability and system reliability.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with leadership experience
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka on cloud platforms
- 3+ years leading cross-functional teams without direct authority
- 3+ years defining technology strategy including AI/ML, cloud, automation
- Strong expertise in cloud, distributed systems, APIs, microservices
Responsibilities
- Own risk mitigation and production stability, root-cause analysis, and downtime reduction
- Oversee the full SDLC, ensuring secure coding and scalable architecture
- Collaborate with Product, Data, Infrastructure and business stakeholders to translate requirements
- Evaluate emerging technologies and lead innovative proofs-of-concept
- Hire and develop high-performing engineering teams and foster continuous improvement
