Job summary

Proliance Surgeons seeks a Manager of Benefits and Leave of Absence to operationalize our benefit and LOA programs, ensure compliance, and deliver a strong teammate experience. You will manage health and welfare benefits, PTO, and retirement education, including vendor management and data-driven decision making.

Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, you will partner with HR leaders to align benefit strategies with talent goals, oversee audits and filings, and lead change management across

Qualifications

• Oversee health and welfare benefits programs including LOA oversight.
• Lead design, administration and ongoing improvement of benefits and LOA.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, and related laws.
• Collaborate with Finance and HRIS for audits, reporting, and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute a comprehensive benefits and LOA strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead administration and continuous improvement of all benefits programs and LOA.
• Serve as SME on complex benefits issues and resolve high-risk cases.
• Oversee vendor relationships, negotiations, performance, and service delivery.
• Oversee medical, dental, vision, life, disability, PTO, and voluntary benefits.
• Drive wellness programs and improve self-insured plan performance.
• Increase participation in EAP programs and open enrollments for multiple entities.
• Educate employees on retirement programs including profit sharing and match.
• Oversee 401(k) match eligibility and annual audits.
• Partner with Finance on audits and reconciliations of benefit programs.
• File 5500s and other regulatory filings for plans.
• Collaborate with HRIS, Payroll, and Finance on systems, reports, and audits.
• Lead compliance with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and WA state requirements.
• Analyze benefits data to inform strategy, costs, and risk mitigation.
• Design clear communication strategies to improve understanding and utilization.
• Partner with Talent and leadership to support recruitment and retention.
• Drive process improvements and change management for benefits and LOA.
