Job summary

Proliance Surgeons seeks a Manager of Benefits and Leave of Absence to operationalize benefits and LOA programs, ensure compliance, and enhance the teammate experience. You will oversee health and welfare benefits, retirement education and operations, PTO and LOA, vendor management, and complex case resolution, while using data to inform decisions.

The role reports to the VP of HR and partners with HR leadership to align benefits with talent objectives, including recruitment and retention.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute a comprehensive benefit and leave strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead the strategy, design, administration and continuous improvement of all benefits programs and leave of absence programs.
• Serve as subject matter expert on complex benefits and leave issues; provide guidance on escalated cases.
• Oversee vendor relationships for benefits and leave administration; manage performance and contracts.
• Oversee medical, dental, vision, life, disability, AD&D, PTO, and voluntary benefits.
• Drive holistic wellness solutions to improve member health and plan performance.
• Increase participation in EAP programs to improve employee wellness.
• Drive open enrollments for multiple entities (Proliance, JVs, future clients).
• Create and implement education programs related to retirement programs, including profit sharing and match.
• Oversee eligibility and audits around 401K match and profit sharing programs.
• Partner with finance on audits and reconciliations of benefit programs including HSA/FSA, annual 401k audit, and payroll audits.
• File 5500s and other regulatory filings for plans.
• Partner with HRIS, Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate benefits and leave administration and data integrity.
• Lead compliance efforts related to benefits and leave programs, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and WA-specific requirements.
• Develop and analyze benefits data and utilization to inform strategy and manage costs.
• Design and deliver clear communication strategies to improve understanding and utilization of benefits and leave programs.
• Partner with Talent, HRBPs, and leadership to support recruitment, retention and teammate experience.
• Drive process improvements and change management related to benefits and leave programs.
