Job summary

HP seeks a senior leader to head the engineering organization building the shared backbone for executable agentic AI on HP PCs and edge devices.

You will own platform capabilities spanning APIs, security, hardware interfaces, data access, and policy frameworks to keep agentic features portable, reliable, and efficient across supported device configurations while providing clear technical contracts to feature teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in systems, embedded, device-platform, or AI engineering.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring managers/senior architects.
• Delivery of production capabilities integrated into PCs or edge devices.
• Understanding of heterogeneous compute, on-device inference, and power/thermal constraints.
• Experience enabling agentic or generative AI, with orchestration, permissions, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering organization building the shared backbone for agentic AI on HP PCs and edge devices.
• Define stable APIs and versioned contracts for reusable platform capabilities.
• Drive device integration across runtime, OS services, drivers, firmware, and hardware interfaces.
• Guide inference and workload placement across CPU, GPU, NPU, and cloud resources; set performance budgets.
• Provide trusted identity, policy enforcement, and auditable agent actions; support safe tooling and enterprise endpoint management.
• Build a global AI engineering leadership team; balance shared needs across divisions.
