Job summary

HP is seeking an experienced Senior Agentic AI Systems Engineer to analyze, tailor, and integrate agentic AI frameworks for PC and edge environments. You will focus on runtime architectures, resource management policies, and platform interfaces to deliver responsive agentic experiences.

The role requires strong systems software background, memory management expertise, and performance engineering across CPU/GPU/other resources.

Qualifications

• Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in systems software, AI infrastructure, runtime engineering, distributed systems.
• Experience evaluating, integrating, or adapting AI frameworks and complex software platforms.
• Experience developing performance‑sensitive software for client/edge environments.
• Proven ability to diagnose issues across applications, OS, AI runtimes, and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Analyze agentic AI frameworks and runtime architectures for deployment across PC and edge environments.
• Tailor and integrate agentic frameworks to operate under changing resource conditions.
• Evaluate how concurrent agents, AI models, and applications share compute, memory, and power.
• Develop policies for workload admission, prioritization, scheduling, orchestration, throttling.
• Create capabilities that maintain responsiveness with multiple agentic workloads.
• Develop graceful‑degradation strategies for memory pressure, battery, and thermal limits.
• Define approaches for managing agent context, memory, state, and long‑running sessions.
