Job summary

HP is hiring an experienced software engineer to build and integrate a software stack enabling AI inference across private networks and distributed PC clusters. You will own experiments, translate findings into secure, reliable solutions, and work with Windows, Linux, and edge devices.

The role emphasizes workload orchestration, autonomous agent deployment, and secure deployment practices, with cross-functional collaboration in Agile and DevOps environments.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of software development experience in distributed systems or related fields.
• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced Python proficiency and C++ development experience.
• Deep understanding of AI inference with llama.cpp and vLLM.
• Experience deploying autonomous agents using LangChain and LangGraph.
• Windows and Linux expertise including edge integration and driver communication.
• Familiarity with APIs, network protocols, AppArmor, SELinux, and security practices.
• Strong English communication and cross-functional collaboration in Agile/DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate software stacks for hardware proofs of concept and workflow testing across closed PC clusters.
• Develop workload orchestration and AI inference offloading across client devices, private servers, and cloud environments.
• Deploy autonomous agents on Windows and Linux, integrating workflows with local hardware and edge devices.
• Automate software deployment and cluster configuration, including secure communication and data movement.
• Implement application security, policy management, and container or process isolation controls (AppArmor, SELinux).
• Analyze telemetry, resource utilization, and bottlenecks during long-running agent simulations.
• Own experiments, test plans, and documentation; collaborate across teams to define requirements.
• Evaluate emerging research and open-source technologies to influence roadmaps.
