HP is seeking a Director for Agentic AI Computing Foundation to lead the engineering organization that builds the shared backbone for executable agentic AI on HP PCs and edge devices. You will own platform capabilities spanning APIs, security, hardware interfaces, data access, and policy frameworks, ensuring agentic features are portable, reliable, and efficient across supported configurations.

Qualifications

• Typically 15+ years in systems, embedded, device-platform, or AI engineering, including at least 7 years leading teams and experience managing managers and senior architects.
• Experience delivering production capabilities integrated into PCs or comparable edge devices.
• Deep understanding of heterogeneous compute and on-device inference, including CPU, GPU, NPU, memory hierarchy, performance profiling, and power or thermal constraints.
• Degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Define the platform roadmap with stable APIs and versioned contracts for reuse.
• Lead device integration across runtime, OS services, drivers, and firmware.
• Guide inference and workload placement across CPU/GPU/NPU and cloud.
• Provide trusted identity, policy enforcement, and auditable agent actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate capabilities via adapters and contracts.
• Build and mentor a global AI engineering leadership team and manage talent.
• Deliver reusable increments, telemetry, and reliability improvements.
