Job summary

HP Inc. is seeking a Director of Agentic AI Development to lead the engineering org that transforms AI concepts into scalable, production-ready solutions across HP PCs and edge devices.

You will own roadmap execution, cross-functional coordination, quality, release management, and risk mitigation to ensure seamless delivery of AI experiences. The role calls for deep leadership across sites, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution in agentic AI applications, with a focus on performance,

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software, systems, or AI engineering with 7+ years in leadership handling multiple teams.
• Delivered AI-enabled PCs or embedded products with strong release quality and reliability.
• Practical depth in agentic/generative AI, including tool calling and context handling.
• Experience with OS/device interfaces and diagnosing cross-domain performance issues.
• Experience with automated integration, staged releases, and field telemetry; balance latency, memory, power, and privacy.
• Strong global people and delivery leadership, technical judgment, and executive communication; degree in CS/EE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Translate priorities into engineering plans and drive squads from prototype to production.
• Build context-aware workflows, planning and execution for bounded actions with human oversight.
• Integrate features with foundation APIs, OS services, hardware capabilities, and device management.
• Establish scenario-based evaluations and automated tests for AI experiences on target hardware.
• Own integration readiness, release evidence, rollout sequencing, and cross-variant compatibility.
• Lead agile execution with a shared backlog and sprint goals across sites.
• Hire and grow engineering leaders, manage staffing, and escalate delivery risks to executives.
