Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a team of cashiers and assist with daily store operations. You will ensure excellent customer service at registers, manage schedules, and support loss prevention efforts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years cashiering experience with leadership training, strong math and cash handling skills, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Able to read, write and count with strong math and cash handling skills.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move carts up to 35 lbs. for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations.
• Direct and support cashiers and courtesy clerks at registers.
• Assign store sweeps and monitor cash register supplies and restroom/parking lot cleanliness.
• Maintain security by supervising exit doors and monitoring loss prevention.
• Schedule breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers; participate in disciplinary actions as needed.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and provide outstanding service.
