Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced frontline team, deliver exceptional customer service, and mentor cashiers and courtesy clerks. The role emphasizes coaching, scheduling, and maintaining store standards in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities, with prior cashiering experience and leadership training.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have a friendly demeanor and ability to interact with customers as a role model.
• Operate front-end equipment; register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication and team interaction skills.
• Able to perform repetitious tasks, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move carts as described.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service by guiding cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Assist with customer issues at the register.
• Schedule and oversee breaks following company policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Oversee store sweep, cash register supply levels, and restroom/parking lot cleanliness.
• Maintain security by monitoring exit doors and loss prevention actions.
