Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Listens to and responds to customer and employee questions by guiding them through projects in-store
• Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special orders, feature benefits, application, and warranty information
• Coaches, develops, and trains associates in departmental duties or sales opportunities (CSA Front End Team)
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines
• Provides proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates for register activities
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers
• Assists in line vesting to speed checkout and opens additional registers as needed
• Prepares register area at shift start/end by ensuring registers and scanners work and stocking supplies
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters and submits customer orders, prints order tickets, verifies receipts, and signs loading tickets
• Looks up product information and competitor prices for price matching
• Records all items used in the store on the store use lists
• Completes cash counting and daily reconciliation duties
• Monitors cash in drawer and cash recycler levels
• Monitors store entrances/exits and assists customers or colleagues triggering alarms
• Detects shoplifting signs and communicates them to management/Asset Protection
• Ensures housekeeping standards and cleanliness of store/work areas
• Maintains a safe and secure work environment including daily safety reviews
• Adheres to safety requirements for stock, cables, blockers, and equipment
• Operates store equipment (e.g., Zebra phone, cash recycler, copiers, CCTV, etc.) as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
