Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring for a customer service–oriented role in which you will assist customers, demonstrate products, and guide them through purchases. You will operate the cash register, handle returns, and ensure accurate loading and loading tickets.

The position involves teamwork and maintaining store standards, safety, and security. The role emphasizes proactive customer assistance, price checks, and collaboration with the Front End team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s policies, procedures and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Coaches, develops, trains associates in departmental duties or sales opportunities (CSA Front End Team)
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters and submits customer orders, prints order tickets, verifies receipts, and signs off on loading tickets
• Looks up product information and competitor prices for price matching
• Maintains store cleanliness and safety standards
• Operates store equipment as needed (e.g., cash recycler, scanners, copiers)
• Performs other duties as assigned
