Job summary

Lowe’s in Kent, Ohio is seeking a customer-focused Cashier to support daily sales and store operations. You will greet customers, assist in locating and loading merchandise, handle transactions, and maintain register accuracy.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience with retail technology. You will help prevent losses, participate in safety and housekeeping programs, and train teammates as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Listens to and responds to customer and employee questions by taking them to areas of the store and walking them through projects when necessary.
• Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
• Coaches, develops, provides feedback, and trains associates in the various departmental duties or sales opportunities (CSA Front End Team).
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines.
