Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using Class A trucks across various routes. You will operate tractor-trailers and may drive straight trucks, with a schedule that includes 3–4 overnight shifts and most weekends off.

The role requires a CDL A with hazmat/tanker endorsements and a 40-hour HAZWOPER training, plus the ability to lift heavy objects and follow DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire date.
• Must pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform loading/unloading tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and box trucks.
• Perform LTL pickups and waste manifests processing as required.
• Maintain driver documents: logbooks, permits, trip reports.
