Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using Class A trucks across designated routes. Expect 3–4 overnight shifts weekly with weekends/holidays off except for critical needs.

You’ll perform pickups, maintain logs and manifests, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and hazardous materials handling. The role requires operating tractor-trailers and various trailers, with occasional straight-truck duty.

Qualifications

• Hazmat handling and safe waste transport.
• Experience operating tractor-trailers and various trailer types.
• Ability to follow DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks (roll-offs, tankers, box trucks, etc.).
• Perform LTL pickups and pre/post-trip inspections.
• Maintain driver documents such as logs and manifests.
• Ensure proper hazardous waste packaging, labeling, and load securement.
