Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using Class B trucks across designated generator sites. Roles include tractor-trailers, roll-offs, tankers, and occasional straight trucks.

The schedule is Mon-Fri with potential 3–4 overnight shifts; most weekends/holidays are off unless needed for critical work. Required are a valid Class B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain within 90 days) and 40-hour

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire date.
• MVR must meet company policy standards.
• Pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, tractor-trailers and box trucks.
• Perform LTL pickups and DOT/HazMat load procedures.
• Maintain driver documents such as logbooks and waste manifests.
• Comply with DOT regulations for hazardous waste collection and transportation, including placarding, loading, labeling.
• Follow state weight limit laws and safe driving practices.
• Use company mobile apps and tech as assigned.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist in site housekeeping and field service projects.
• Participate in Site Safety program and required training.
