Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste, operating Class A tractors and multiple trailer types. The role involves occasional overnight shifts and operates Monday through Friday with variable schedules, including weekends off except for critical needs.

The position requires a valid Class A CDL with HazMat and tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain within 90 days), DOT compliance knowledge, and readiness to complete

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• MVR meets company policy standards.
• Pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training on hire.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
• Performs LTL pickups and maintains driver documents.
• Complies with DOT regulations for hazardous waste transport including placarding and labeling.
• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensures safe operation.
