Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using class A trucks and various trailers. The role includes pre-trip/post-trip inspections, DOT compliance, and customer interaction across multiple sites.

The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overnight shifts; weekends/holidays are typically off except for critical needs. A valid Class A CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements is required or obtainable within 90

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with hazardous material and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire date.
• Pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
• Performs LTL pickups and maintains driver documents.
• Complies with DOT regulations for hazardous waste collection, packaging, labeling and load segregation.
