Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely using Class A tractors and a range of trailers. The role includes occasional overnight shifts, Monday–Friday with weekends off except for critical needs, and requires strict adherence to DOT HazMat rules and safety protocols.

You will perform pickups, maintain documents, and use company mobile applications while ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training on hire.
• Experience with hazardous waste transport and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, tractors and box trucks.
• Perform LTL pickups and manage waste manifests and trip reports.
• Maintain driver logs, permits, trip reports, and related documents.
• Follow DOT hazmat loading, placarding, labeling and segregation procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Participate in Site Safety program and training.
