BB&E is seeking a Hazardous Waste Technician for the NASA Langley Research Center in Houston, TX. You will manage lab waste, medical waste, packaging, labeling, and cradle-to-grave waste tracking as part of our environmental services team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hazardous waste experience, 24-hour HAZWOPER training, RCRA Haz Waste and DOT HazMat certifications, and proficiency with MS Office. U.S. citizenship required and ability to pass a federal background check.

Formación

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to pass a federal agency background check is required.
• Experience preparing hazardous waste turn-in, shipping, and tracking documents.
• Prior hazardous waste lab pack disposal experience.
• Practical knowledge of HW management and hazardous material handling.

Responsabilidades

• Collect hazardous waste lab waste and medical waste.
• Segregate and process waste according to hazard class.
• Lab pack hazardous waste and medical waste.
• Coordinate waste pickup and transport on-site and off-site.
• Maintain records and prepare manifests and reports.
