Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Lab Services Tech to support hazardous waste management, labeling, and decontamination across lab sites. The role supports lab scientists with waste replenishment and weekly area inspections.

Candidates should follow safety procedures, maintain GLP practices, and be able to travel between sites as required. A lab/R&D background is preferred and familiarity with MS Office is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with lab environment exposure.
• Experience in a laboratory or R&D facility is preferred.
• Ability to read procedures and safety instructions and follow them precisely.

Responsibilities

• Use PPE and follow safety protocols during daily waste collection from labs.
• Manage Hazardous Waste (HW) and Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) onsite.
• Maintain proper labeling, storage, and segregation of chemical waste.
• Decontaminate dirty containers and lab equipment; support weekly inspections.
• Coordinate waste hauling with third-party providers and ensure compliance.
• Assist with inventory of lab supplies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Drive to multiple sites as needed and support gas cylinder handling.
